Dennis Draeger These guys had an energy that perfectly fit the name of this album. Their lyrics were often introspective but never obtuse. Their debut is my favorite, but since grunge was ruling the day when this album was released, it's amazing how well the album fit for the time and still holds up. Favorite track: Where Will I Go Tomorrow?.

Look in Me 03:46
Eating out of empty books Believing everything you're told If you want to see inside my soul Check the donut not the hole I told you once, I told you twice People give some cold advice If everything was good and nice We wouldn't need the sacrifice See you if I don't see you Don't look at me You've got to look in me! The Truth I seek, the Truth I found People never make a sound Truth is piling by the pound Judging when you're not around See you if I don't see you Don't look at me You've got to look in me! Eating out of empty bowls Believing everything you're told If you want to see inside my soul Check the donut not the hole See you if I don't see you Don't look at me You've got to look in me!

Old Man Song 02:40
Old man standin' by the side of the road Starin' with a lonely face He's just lookin for something to hold Then he finds a young boy tuggin' at the Seat of his pants offers him a smile Then the old man's heart begins to dance The thought is simple and it's true We need the love of one another to make it through It all depends on you! Bobby tries to make it on his own though His worries are showin' ego is flowin' Keeping him from growin' It's time he steps out of himself and towards Those who care with their arms open wide They're just waiting to share their love with him The thought is simple and it's true We need the love of one another to make it through It all depends on you! Mr. Wright fought a battle that he thought He had won until he looked at his son And said, what the hell have I done He tried to push him too hard to the edge of control crushing the mold a loveless Man will fold The thought is simple and it's true We need the love of one another to make it through It all depends on you!

In my dream I'm in the field The grass is green and growing tall And you just sat there Tied up and crying As I loved you I couldn't touch you I don't want to lose you In my dream I'm in a store I'm buying mulk And stealing candy You're coming at me Your eyes on fire You slipped on milk And started crying I couldn't touch you I don't want to lose you In my dream I'm in the house The roof's on fire And I can't get any water I'm running fast But moving slow You're outside I couldn't touch you I don't want to lose you

Ruby gonna keep on livin' While the rest is forgiven Ruby gonna keep on diggin' While the world is a wiggin' Ruby well she came in last We took a look at her past Ruby well she lost the game We erased her name All is forgiven All is forgotten Ruby goes to heaven All is forgiven All is forgotten Ruby goes to heaven Ruby she didn't make a sound So she didn't count Ruby she's been set free Despite a lack of history Ruby she made love of nothin' Cause there was always something Ruby well she laid it down Cause she was FOUND All is forgiven All is forgotten Ruby goes to heaven All is forgiven All is forgotten Ruby Goes to heaven

Real 03:11
I don't want no religious pageantry I just want to be with Thee Don't want no chili dog with no chili Chili, Chili, Chili Give me something real Give me something I can feel I don't want no girly made of silicone I want something home grown Don't want your ever changing facade Facade, facade, facade Give me something real Give me something I can feel I don't want to see what you haven't got I want to see what you've got Even if it's not a lot Don't want no chili dog with no chili Chili, Chili, Chili Give me something real Give me something I can feel I don't want your sloppy tongue spiel I just want a touch of something real

Telephone wires upon my head Trees and bushes soon to be dead Manatee struck against my bow Once a mermaid now a cow Now a cow Bring back the beautiful See the truth behind the face Fire the rat who lost the race Find the man who sells the earth Try to find out what it's worth What it's worth—The earth—What is it worth Bring back the beautiful So many things we want to change So many things to rearrange We live, we grow, we shrink, we die But what has struck us in the eye Remember the things that gave us hope As scared we were we somehow coped We somehow coped

The room was dark And you were invisible Daylight came And you were missing Will you come ground again Where to go tomorrow Can you feel your heart It's broken and blue Best of intentions Lost to Ambition Will I ever get through to you Where to go tomorrow Time and time again We lose ourselves We lose ourselves But now I've lost you I love you my friend And I felt the tension As you walked away I saw the road divide And you weren't there You weren't there by my side Where to go tomorrow

Black Times 02:54
I prayed to you in patience I've been humbled to my knees Begging you for mercy In these times of need But it seems an eternity For you to answer my call As I continue to fall Into these Black Times I worshipped the ground you walked on Obeyed your every plea Wearing blinders of naiveté In fear I could not see That the man I once had modeled And looked to as pristine Has now deceived me with this lie And darkened the place where we've been In these Black Times It's the downside of love That will drag you through the dung Tying the knot in your gut That has only just begun Everything will remind you You can't seem to get away As your emotions are on overdrive And your innocence decays In these Black Times

The Push 03:32
They'll try to stop you and ban you from your struggle And they'll put you away after you've made your rebuttal Yet the words they have been spoken And sometimes silence is much louder When the seeds been planted in their head And the spirit growin' prouder Continue to push Liberation is tempting and it's so hard to refuse When you're thinking overrides the risk of abuse And the fever that's been growin and Dwellin' from within Has got your palate wet for freedom I think it's time to begin Continue to push It's the arrival of our survival It's the arrival of the push We need to sacrifice We need to pay the price We need to sacrifice With the push It's our destination For our Liberation It's the destination of the push Continue the push

I wake and roll With a tug of my hand My sheets unfold I step and grunt For the latrine I hunt I look and see In a mirror that does not Agree with the face I wear, oh I swear I think I'm losin I think I'm losin I toss and turn These worries are making My belly burn My mind, my mind It slips on slime It bumps it grinds I try to cope But I keep sliding down This slope Someone throw me a rope It ain't no joke I think I'm losin I think I'm losin Bust in the economy It's a financial lobotomy God you gotta help me please- because I think I'm losin I think I'm losin I've seen better days Never seen such a thick, thick haze I hope it's just a phase I think I'm losin' A life in limbo I swear I'm better than this bimbo Jack tries to be quick but he keeps Trippin' on the candle stick We look back and reminisce-about The days of ease that we often miss But you can't dwell on the past- because The past won't last Or you'll be losin Gotta keep on movin!!!!!!

Streets talk People stop Turn around Take a walk Look outside There's a place to hide Gotta run in place Then go back inside Cloudy sky Rain inside Bombs explode Begin to cry Look outside There's a place to hide Gotta run in place And go back inside She's left in the world/what's left of the world Eyes grin Children spin In this place Where we begin Lives crossed Time is lost She thinks back At what it cost She hides Deep inside Forgot about the The way he died You gotta push and shove You gotta stay above You gotta sacrifice You gotta live for LOVE She's left in the world/what's left of the world

Flow your waters Show me flowers Rain upon me Make me smile World explodes around me Too young to be sad Put your arms around me Fill my mind up with your mountains and your rivers overwhelm me World explodes around me Too young to be sad I am living I am breathing I am seeing Life is living Make a highway With a sunset over water Take my hand we'll go there together World explodes around me Too young to be sad

Solutions 04:40
Hey you slumped up in your chair I really can't believe that you don't care Do you really want to buy in To a planet that's dyin' And to all the desperate ones holdin' back the tears It's time that we confront our fears Time we heal the nightmares of the past Let's fine the truth and make it last Come On Shout your truth Dance the truth Let's love the truth Let's work towards a solution Hey rocker let go of your addiction But hold strong to your conviction This is the 11th hour God knows we need your bold and wild power And angry man put that gun in a box There's got to be a better way to catch that fox Yea go ahead and shoot off your moth till you're blue Yea we're all a little pissed off too So Come On Squeal your truth Anoint the truth Let's find the truth Let's work towards a solution Rapper tell us what life's like downtown Tell us what it's like to be black and to be down Yea we can hear your anger and rage We want to help you get you outta that cage Come On Rap your truth Anoint the truth Let's fine the truth let's work Towards a solution Let's Work Towards A Solution

Goodbye 02:47
She said I know what you want and I think that I know how to get it I know It takes more than greed for us To get through the dead-end She wrote me a letter To try to make it better But it's no good He said I made up my mind I'm not going to lose it My friend I've been down that road And I know just what you're choosin' It's time to say goodbye All right I can't get in my heart That I know that I love you Sometimes You gotta look through the trees At the sky up above you She wrote me a letter To try to make it better But it's no good It's time to say goodbye
